1.       Influence of ambient temperature:

The following figure shows the battery temperature rise curve (average temperature of 5 sampling points) during 1C charge and discharge process of 55Ah battery at ambient temperatures of 20°C, 27°C and 40°C. From the figure, we can It can be seen that the charging time of the battery at 20°C is 74min and the discharge time is 59min, the charging time of the battery at 27°C is 76min and the discharge time is 60min, and the charging time of the battery at 40°C is 79min and the discharge time is 62min. The following table summarizes the temperature and temperature rise of the battery during charging and discharging at different ambient temperatures. Table 2 calculates the heating power of the battery during charging and discharging at different ambient temperatures based on the temperature rise data in Table 1. Data, from Table 2, we found that the heating power of the lithium-ion battery decreased significantly with the increase of temperature. Then it dropped to 5.36W, and the ambient temperature was further increased to 40°C, and the average heating power of the battery was reduced to 4.66W.


2.       The impact of SOC:

SOC is also a very important parameter. SOC is the state of charge of the battery, 100% is full charge, 0% is empty power, and different SOCs represent different Li concentration distributions of positive and negative electrodes, so SOC It will also affect the heating power of the lithium-ion battery. Tables 3 and 4 below summarize the data of the final temperature and temperature rise of the battery, and the heat generation power of the battery under the 70%, 80%, 90% and 100% SOC states, respectively. It can be seen from Table 4 that the average heating power of the battery is 6.25W at 70% SOC, 6.87W at 80% SOC, and 7.19W at 90% SOC. Except for 100% SOC, the heating power of the battery increases with the battery. SOC status improves.
