Battery capacity test
09 Mar 2023

Method 1: offline measurement

(1) After fully charging the battery pack disconnected from the power supply system, let it stand for 1-24 hours, and start at the ambient temperature of 25 ℃ ± 5 ℃

Discharge;

(2) The terminal voltage of the battery shall be measured before discharge. During discharge, the discharge current time and ambient temperature of the battery shall be measured and recorded

The current fluctuation value shall not exceed 1% of the specified value

(3) During the discharge, the battery terminal voltage and room temperature shall be measured. The temperature measurement time interval is: 10h rate discharge 1h, 3h rate discharge 0.5h, 1h rate

Discharge for 10min, and measure at any time at the end of discharge to accurately determine the discharge

Time of termination voltage;

(4) The discharge current multiplied by the discharge time is the capacity of the battery. When the battery is not discharged at the ten-hour rate or the ambient temperature is not 25

At ℃, the actual measured capacity shall be converted to the capacity at 25 ℃.

Method 2: online measurement

• In the power supply system, turn off the rectifier and supply it to the communication equipment by discharging the battery pack. Find out the voltage in the battery pack after discharging the battery pack

The lowest battery with the worst capacity is used as the object of the capacity test;

• Turn on the rectifier to charge the battery pack, and keep it stable for more than 1 hour after the battery pack is fully charged;

• Perform a 10-hour rate discharge test on the worst battery found during discharge in (1), and measure the end of the battery before and after discharge

Voltage, temperature, discharge time, and room temperature. After that, the test shall be conducted every 1 hour. When the discharge is close to the termination voltage, the test shall be conducted at any time to

Then accurately record the discharge time;

• The discharge time multiplied by the discharge current is the capacity of the battery, which should be converted when the room temperature is not 25 ℃;

• After the discharge test, charge the battery with a charger to recover its capacity;

Method 3: checking capacity test

• In the DC power supply system, turn off the switch power supply and let the battery supply power to the communication equipment. Test each battery before and after discharging

The end pressure, temperature room temperature and discharge time of the cell shall be 30% - 40% of the rated capacity;

• Charge the battery after discharge;

• Make the discharge curve according to the test data for comparison during the retest.

• The storage battery cannot be stored in the state after discharge and must be charged evenly within 8 hours after discharge.
