What are the differences between energy storage battery management systems and power battery management systems?

The energy storage battery management system (BMS) and the power battery BMS are very similar in overall structure and core functions, but due to different application scenarios, there are obvious differences between the two in design logic, communication protocol, hardware structure, etc. Especially in high-security and high-scalability energy storage systems represented by EverExceed, BMS not only undertakes the key battery status monitoring task, but also plays a vital role in the stable operation and economy of the energy storage system.

1️⃣ Different functional positioning in the system structure
In the energy storage system, the battery pack interacts with the energy storage converter (PCS) through the high-voltage port, and the charging and discharging path is simple and the control is centralized. 3️⃣ Differences in communication protocols

5️⃣ The threshold parameter setting targets are different

In comparison, the BMS in the power battery system needs to have higher computing power and data refresh frequency to support rapid vehicle control.

The energy storage system has a large number of modules and many cells in series. Once the voltage difference is too large, it will greatly affect the capacity of the entire module.
